Christmas Parade Edition

I thought I'd fill y'all in on the highlights of the Christmas parade tonight in Texarkana, USA, as it passed by my window:
  • length -- 1 hour, 10 minutes.
  • HS and JHS bands from every town within 100 miles -- too numerous to count.
  • floats wishing folks a "Country Christmas" -- 12 (including USAF "Protecting our Country's Christmas")
  • floats referencing "God and Country" -- 3 (not including the USAF float above)
  • most crosses on one float -- 10 (Beverly Community Center)
  • floats that broke down in front of my window -- 1
  • El Caminos with a Teddy Bear in the back -- 1
  • low rider Chevelles with Christmas lights on the bumpers -- 1
  • Floats wishing "Merry Christmas Y'all" -- 1
  • floats featuring Santa riding a horse and telling teens to be abstinent -- 1
  • black cowboys on horseback -- 5
  • red, white and blue christmas trees -- 1
  • floats carrying a Miss or Teen Miss __________ (fill in the small town) -- 7
  • floats carrying a rodeo queen -- 1
  • floats carrying a Little/Baby/Tiny/Petite/Junior Miss ___________ (fill in the small town) -- 14
  • floats carrying a Little Mister _________ (fill in the small town) -- 3

As you can probably tell by now: (1) I have waaayyyy too much time on my hands, and (2) TEXARKANA ROCKS!!!

Love from the trenches,
Jessica
